Optimet signed a contract with ITC Invest Trading & Consulting AG-Ankara , for the delivery of 1 unit of MWS-4000 model medical waste sterilizer. The MWS-4000 system will be installed at Adana city and will treat 6-7 ton per day medical waste in the city and the territory.

Optimet is very much grateful to ITC, which is the biggest company in Turkey and one of the most leading firms in the world in the solid waste management and treatment technologies field.

OptiMet has won the tender at Kırıkkale Solid Waste Municipalities Union for the collection, transport and sterilization of medical waste in the territory. This is the first service work by Optimet and Optimet has shown to the industry the strenght for the service work, too.

OptiMet made a JV with Turanlar Co., Ltd. for this tender basis. The contract is for a period of  10 years and entire service work will start as soon as the site for the constructing the plant is ready with the required infrastructure.

The first machine made by Optimet was delivered and installed in Afyon city, Turkey. The machine has been operating successfully since July 26, 2009 on which licenced by Ministry of Environment and Forestry .

The MWS-4000-R model machine is sterilizing 400 -450 kg of medical waste in an hour .

Optimet is grateful to owner and operator of the plant , Miroglu Co., Ltd. for their trust as being the first client.

The 8 Log 10 level of sterilization efficacy of MWS-4000-R  model machine was   tested and certified The tests were done by the acredited laboratory of “ Duzen Laboratories Group”  based in Ankara. Optimet is gratefull to Duzen laboratory and their staff for their encourageing support.

Optimet factory has been visited by delegates from some foreign countries as Sudan, Algeria, Morocco. The delegates have shown their admires and expressed their plans to procure the machine and implenet such a nice and environmental friendly wasy of medical waste disposal in theri countries.

Also, a lot of Turkish people from Public Institutes, municipalities and private firms from the waste industry have visited and inspected the machine during the manufacturing process.

Optimet joined in the 5. International Recycling, Environmental Technologies and Waste Management Fair in Istanbul, Turkey on 18-21 June, 2009.Optimet has received very great interest from national and international visitors and such a big interest has encouraged Optimet for the future.
